Biography

Lucy Brooker is a British Equestrian & Field sports photographer with a deep rooted passion for the English countryside and its community.

After graduating with a 1st class Honours degree in Documentary and Moving Image, Lucy worked for ITV television for a few years before taking an exciting year out in Australia. Her passion for still image work grew at this time, just as digital was making its debut. Working on family run livestock farms, show jumping yards and grooming for polo teams was a wonderful opportunity to fill digital cards with fabulous equine photography and build fond memories.

On her return to the Uk in 2023, Lucy began working as the Polo Secretary for the prestigious Guards Polo Club. With this opening came the opportunity to become a director of Centaur Photographic, who were Guards Polo Club official photographers.

For eight years Lucy gained experience photographing, kings, queens, the rich, the famous, the polo greats and everyone in-between! Centaur Photographic also carried out the ‘original’ UK horse and owner fashion photoshoots that are now very common in the equestrian world.

In 2011 Lucy married and Lucy Brooker Photography was launched with her new name. Although not often seen on the polo field these days lucy still continues her passions for photographing field sports for private individuals, shooting clubs and corporate events.

Along with her husband Alastair, they now have two little girls, three gundogs and a few ponies to keep themselves busy outside of work.
