The Fine Print – Booking, Payment & terms of business
Payment
- A deposit fee is due at time of booking in order to reserve your photo session time & date.
- Payments can be made by cheque, returned with your booking form or via bank transfer.
- The date remains available to other clients until payment has been received.
- The deposit/Creative Fee/Voucher is non-refundable but is transferable in the case that you need to reschedule. Rescheduled sessions are based on availability and available for 12 months from original purchase date.
- The remainder of the session payment is due on or before the session date.
Cancellations
- 24 hours must be given when cancelling.
The viewing
- You will be invited back to my studio for a private viewing within 14-21 days of your photo session, you will be presented with a beautiful slideshow that includes a selection of the best images from our session (approximately 15-20 images for a Newborn session and 15-30 images for a child/family session). Here you will also be presented with your memory stick of images and prints. You may also place an order for custom products but I do not ‘expect’ more sales and there is certainly no ‘hard sell’.
Postage Fees for Products
- You can personally pick up your photo books or prints from the studio or I can drop off if you live within 5 miles of the Studio. Postage Fees will apply if they need to be posted. Postage of a USB with digital images is free of charge.
Digital Image Usage
- I understand that Lucy Brooker Photography owns the copyright to all of the edited images received from my session. I will be granted a print release for personal use of my images, however they may not be cropped, edited or altered in any way.
Commercial Use
- If you wish to use my image(s) to sell, market or advertise a concept, brand or product, it is termed as ‘commercial use’ and requires a separate commercial license and fees will apply.
Portfolio Building
- Lucy Brooker Photography reserves the right to use any images for promotional and advertising purposes and to post the image(s) on websites (including my portfolio on social networking websites such as Facebook etc).
- For any other use or publication written permission will be acquired. Please let me know prior to the session should you prefer to opt out.
Force Majeure
- The due performance of this contract is subject to alteration or cancellation by the Photographer owing to any cause beyond her control. In this unlikely event every effort will be made to provide alternative arrangements.
- In the event of total failure of photographic equipment or ancillary accessories, or cancellation of the contract by the photographer, liability shall be limited solely to a full refund of all monies paid to date.
